Shrek Forever After is the new Wii game for the console, which is obviously, based on the new Shrek film. Players start the game trapped in an alternative version of Far Far Away where Shrek is no longer lovely and green but instead he is feared and hated and worst of all he is a monster! According to the Philstar.com website, hospitals in the Philippines are using the Nintendo Wii Console as a rehabilitation tool to enhance the practice of physical and rehabilitation medicine. Anyway, there is to be a Wii Games: Summer 2010 which is a bit like the Olympics where you can take part in a number of high intensity sports, but the difference here is that you can do it…from your living room on your Nintendo Wii Console! The rumour mills went into overdrive at the beginning of this month when there was speculation that there was to be a Wii game GoldenEye remake. As well as there being the now confirmed Wii game, there was also information about a golden gun Wii remote and classic controller and it’s a beauty its true!

Wii Party the new, soon to be massive title for the Nintendo Wii Console which is released in Japan next month, will come in three different versions according to the official Japanese website. There are two different Wii controller bundles which both come with Wii Party and the choice of either a white or pink remote.

According to the Japanese press, there is to be a Nintendo 3D Wii Console to mimic the Nintendo 3DS. The boss of the console giant, Satoru Iwata has told the press that they are thinking about using the same kind of 3D technology in the follow up Wii Console as well as keeping it in the 3DS as planned.
He is quoted as saying that they would probably put 3D in the next Nintendo Wii system when more than more than 30 per cent off people adopt 3D television as these trends are very important to them. According to Iwata, Nintendo have been considering about this kind of technology for nearly 20 years, hence the unsuccessful which subsequently Virtual Boy crashed and burned. [Read more...]
Something that surprised me about last week’s E3 expo was the fact that the Nintendo Vitality Sensor was missing. So the Nintendo E3 conference has been and gone and they really pulled the stops out this year to announce some great titles! I won’t bore you with small talk so let’s get right down to it!
Firstly, great news for the dancers amongst us as there is a Just Dance 2 being released! I personally thought there might be a different title but never the less, as long as the game is as good as the last one, who cares what it’s called!!! Just Dance 1 launched in November and secured four No.1s in the UK this year and has sold over a million copies in Great Britain. The big day is nearly here for all Nintendo Wii Console fans as tomorrow is the E3 Expo. For those of you not in the know about the E3 Expo it’s the world’s leading trade show for computer and video games in L.A. Although the3DS has kept the Wii off the main stage recently, this Expo is expected to be the stage for more announcements to get the console interest high again.
The new Legend of Zelda game will be unveiled hopefully with the Motion Plus playing an even more vital role in the title. These is hope that it will be released just in time for Christmas so get that one on your Christmas list!
On the subject of games for the Wii Console, Just Dance have announced on their Facebook page that they are unveiling some exciting news tomorrow at the Expo so keep your ears to the floor with a possible announcement of the Just Dance 2 title maybe! [Read more...]
The newest Wii Game to be announced is EA Sports first Ice Hockey game designed specifically for the Nintendo Wii Console. Due out in the US in the Autumn, Ice Hockey legend Wayne Gretzy will be the name to promote the game by being on the cover and also featuring as a playable character and a coach in one of the games.
Kotaku have just published a really interesting list of the twenty most loved Wii Games. This is based on the games that are getting the most use per player. Questions that they covered in the list was that it isn’t a top selling Wii games list as it is a list determined by the data made public by Nintendo telling which games get played the most by buyers or renters of a game and the stats on the charts listing the games are hours and minutes tallied from the day the game was launched.
Following on from this post about the Wii Party game for the Nintendo Wii Console, further details have been announced about the Living Part mode of the game. Much like Mario Party there’ll be around 70 mini games to enjoy using your Mii, including traditional games like Bingo, Roulette, and the Living Party mode. There are rumoured to be more than 80 games and one game, Wanwan Karuta, involves players holding their Wiimote, and whilst the controller release a sound, the player has to match the sound to the correct animal on the screen. The same people that brought you the push up bar for the balance board on the Nintendo Wii Console have now released a rowing machine add on in the US. This rowing accessory enables the user to add some cardiovascular action on their legs, arms and back to their exercise routines on the Wii Fit.
The accessory for the Nintendo Wii Console is a non electric and is similar to the rowing machines you see down at the gym. The user can increase or decrease the resistance of their workout by releasing the tension knob on the accessory. According to their joint press release yesterday, the two companies are to join forces to promote healthy living through active play video games. have announced that they are to make a special announcement at 10am New York time alongside the American Heart Association and it is believed to be about the Wii Fit Vitality Sensor.
