It seems lately that we should rename this blog the Wii Remote Plus blog as although it started with the Red Wii Console and the announcement that the new controller is going to make its debut here in the UK as part of a bundle, it has now been announced that the Remote Plus will in fact be released here sooner.

Following on from yesterday’s blog post will the Wii Remote Plus debut alone … it was uncertain if the new controller was just going to be in the Red Wii Console bundle or if it was to be bundled in the FlingSmash game too. Well Nintendo have today confirmed that the new controller will indeed be coming with the new game and it will be here on November 19th.
The new controller, first released with the Red Wii Console will give more accuracy in the way you play with the controller without having to use the original Motion Plus add on as it will already be fixed internally. The Wii Remote Plus is the same size as the Wiimote plus all the compatible peripherals such as the Nunchuk and the Classic Controller will fit into the base of it. [Read more...]

With news that the Red Wii Console is to be released on the 29th October bundled with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, two preloaded games and the Wii Remote Plus, there have been questions as to whether Nintendo will release the Wii Remote Plus without the Red Wii Console.
We all know that playing a game with the Motion Plus is great, in my house there was always concern in case the device which makes a normal controller into a Motion Plus would actually stay on when we are flinging our arms about to Grand Slam Tennis. This is why there is so much excitement about the Wii Remote Plus that is in the Red Wii Console bundle as the Motion Plus part of the controller is already built in to the device and it is the same size as the normal controller so you won’t even know it is there.

Following on from this post about the Wii Party game for the Nintendo Wii Console, further details have been announced about the Living Part mode of the game. Much like Mario Party there’ll be around 70 mini games to enjoy using your Mii, including traditional games like Bingo, Roulette, and the Living Party mode. There are rumoured to be more than 80 games and one game, Wanwan Karuta, involves players holding their Wiimote, and whilst the controller release a sound, the player has to match the sound to the correct animal on the screen.
