Get your glove on!
To play Michael Jackson: The Experience, you grab a Wii Remote in your right hand and get ready to dance. As your song starts, you see a virtual version of Michael Jackson onscreen with a sparkling sequined glove on his left hand.
The idea of the game is that the players follow along to dance moves danced out by a glowing silhouette of Michael Jackson whilst the lyrics to his most famous songs scroll across at the bottom of the screen. The way to score points is based on how well you dance to the music whilst holding a Wiimote, and the words good or perfect we let you know how well you have done and you are scored on that basis.
As well as following the image onscreen, there are visual cues that appear on the left side of the screen to help you out. These are pictures of simple poses that indicate an upcoming mark you need to hit, so you can plan your moves accordingly. These can be a real help if you are getting tired or if you just want to put a bit extra into that move!
Make sure you get to be Michael Jackson!
You can play with up to four of your friends, that are your backing dancers if you get to be Jacko, and there is not any kind of progression onto harder levels as the whole point of the game is to dance and have fun. The normal game mode is called Dance but if you have two left feet then the Michael Jackson: The Experience Wii game gives you a helping hand in the Michael’s School mode where players will be able to rehearse before their show, with video training to practice Michael’s most challenging moves in order to pull them off to perfection.
The makers, Ubisoft have designed Michael Jackson: The Experience Wii game so that you can actually learn how to dance like MJ himself and some of the most famous dance routines such as Moonwalk are including in this.
