See how the Wii Just Dance Game and the new Just Dance 2 compare:
The comparison of the Just Dance game to the follow up Just Dance 2 Wii is great as it shows that the makers, Ubisoft have listened to what the customers wanted and brushed up certain features that made Just Dance a good game instead of an amazing game. To compare, the main improvements for Just Dance 2 are that there are new game modes, new tracks, more tracks and of course new dances. They have also improved the iconic silhouettes of the dancers and visual feedback for the player. One major improvement is detection, as they have really worked on giving an accessible and balanced experience so great dancers with rhythm are rewarded for their moves, and those of us not blessed with natural rhythm can improve easily!
There are 8 multiplayer sessions and players will now be able to create their own team and engage in dance-off contests with up to eight players. There are new modes called Duet Mode, Training Mode, Dance Battle mode and Party mode.
In the Duet Mode, each player will follow a different choreography mixing dance steps and poses that will respond to the choreography of the other. For the training Mode there are practice sessions with interactive tutorials which enable the player learn choreographies and prepare for the next party. For Dance battle mode up to 8 players will have individual scores and will be responsible for the overall result of the team. The Party mode will be a just for fun mode
Another difference to the Just Dance 2 Wii game to the original just Dance game is that the makers realised that many people were using the game for not just parties but also to lose weight as you can work up quite a sweat dancing along to Kylie Minogue! Because of this there is a Just Sweat mode which has a Just Sweat Meter for measuring the efficiency of the energy you put in dancing and the ability to define daily and weekly objectives of dancing sessions.
Another great comparison between the two Just Dance games is that the first game has 32 songs to bop away to where as Just Dance 2 will have 40 + songs plus downloadable content that enables you to access via the Just Dance 2 menu to the Wii shop, new maps for the game.
