Using the Wii Just Dance Game is a great way to lose all your inhibitions!
This game from Ubisoft does what it says on the tin and it makes you dance. Simple. But if that was what you were looking for as a Just Dance Wii Game review then I could have put that on the back of a stamp. What I haven’t mentioned is the genius behind this game is that is focuses on you throwing any shapes no matter how bad you are. Which adds to the appeal immensely, especially if you dance like I do!

The Just Dance Game for Wii is a dancing simulator that encourages you to hit the right moves and you are rewarded with points. An on screen dancer does the routine to the backdrop of classic and current pop songs and the idea is for you, the player to replicate this in time to the beat of the song. Using the Wii Remote, which picks up your movements no matter how jerky or electric they are, you boogie along to the music believing that you could be one of Britney’s back dancers!
You can use Just Dance Wii Game for serious exercise or for fun!
A recommendation is to do the warm up option before you start the game which works like the main game but a little less harsh and gentler of the limbs! This is great to do beforehand as although the game is mainly for fun, it can fully be used as a way to lose weight as you are dancing about so much, working up a sweat and subsequently losing calories which is always a bonus!
There are two game play modes which are quick play which enables you to select a song and perform to it and aim to get the highest score possible in two categories based on difficulty and effort. And there is the second mode which is the challenge mode which provides three types of game; regular, strike a pose and last one standing. Regular works on a similar par to quick play and all you need to do it get the points, whereas strike a pose is a game for you and your mates and finally last one standing which is for the player with the least mistakes to take the crowning glory!
As well as an on screen dancer for you to follow, there is also on screen clues as there are scrolling poses at the bottom of the screen indicating what steps you need to do which is great as if you are a bit slow (like I am!) at following the moves, you can look ahead to see what coming up!
The presentation of the Just Dance Wii Game is great as although there are many bright colours to keep your eyes focused on the game, it is also quite minimalistic with just the on screen dancer, the instructions and the points to look at which helps you not get confused.
So to summarise, on this Just Dance Wii Game review , the game is great for two reasons. Firstly you can use it to build up a sweat and lose weight the fun way and secondly you can use it for a nights entertainment with your friends, or as an alternative to a nightclub after the pub!
