Created by IMG Academies and with one of the most influential golf coaches of all time, David Leadbetter (he was obviously born for this role!), My Personal Golf Trainer Wii Game, with the direction of Leadbetter will show you how to stand well, move correctly and how to swing with his now famous ‘7 steps to a better golf swing’ techniques.

This game uses a couple of Wii Accessories as you cannot use your normal remote with it. They are the Wii Motion Plus and the balance board. With the help of the Wii Motion Plus, the game gives you individual feedback on your own personal swing and then tells you how shows you how to correct it to improve your golf shot.  You can also get visual feedback on the angle and direction of your swing as the shape of the line changes colour dependant on how good your swing is.

The balance board enables you to see if you are position at the wrong angle, and if you need to work on your weight distribution and stance. Once you are ready to aim your swing, the My Personal Golf Trainer Wii Game can then record the speed and direction and compare your action against a perfect swing! You’ll also get a five-star rating detailing the quality of your backswing, transition and golf follow-through. The boys at the club are going to think you have been having lessons from the pro on the sly! Throughout the training in the game, visual guidance is given to help the player in body and hand position, weight shifting plus giving an idea of the next movement they need to make.

On the game there is a driving range, as shown below, that helps the player see how much they have improved by enabling them to practice their new skills whilst identifying existing problems that can be worked on.

My Personal Golf Trainer has a great feature that allows you to compare your own swing against the ideal Leadbetter swing meaning that it is easier and faster for you to identify problem areas.

The game detects the club face orientation and the ball trajectory speed upon the impact of the ball which are shown graphically in this screenshot below:

The Skill Tracker, as shown in this screenshot is designed to help the player track aspects of their swing over time by seeing improvements and checking areas that need improvement.
