After doing many exercise videos, I wanted to try the Wii Your Shape Game for a change

Before I heard about the Wii Your Shape game, I was a massive fan of workout videos (Davina has great videos but can be annoying, and Nell McAndrew did a video that made me nearly pass out in the warm up!!!), so you could say that I am used to working out at home. So I was interested to see how the Your Shape Wii faired?

So what can the Wii Your Shape game do for me?

The Your Shape game for the Wii comes with a video camera that scans your body shape and then remembers this on your actual console. You then use this stored memory to choose which part of your body you want to work on and tone up.

Once the tailor made programme starts, the camera appears  and shows an image of you next to that of a virtual instructor which is really helpful as you can follow her movements making you feel happy that you are doing it right and it also helps you to work as hard as she does! There is also a wide range of exercises that you can take on, so limiting the time it can take you to get bored with other exercise videos.

One of the great things about Wii Your Shape, and why it wins hands down in my opinion over exercise videos, is that you can actually see the number of calories that you are burning as they are displayed on the screen as you workout. This is such as motivational way, I found, of carrying on even when you were exhausted as you can see the benefit of what you are doing.
